About Power & Data Management (PDM)
Power & Data Management (PDM) is a critical power infrastructure company helping customers bring capacity online faster across hyperscale data centers, utilities, renewable energy, EPCs, manufacturing, and other mission-critical markets. Through engineering expertise, strategic manufacturing partnerships, and disciplined project execution, PDM delivers utility-grade transformers, circuit breakers, gas-insulated switchgear, solid-state transformers, and other power infrastructure solutions that enable reliable, scalable growth.
At PDM, we believe speed and quality should never be a tradeoff. Our team combines deep engineering expertise with a relentless focus on execution to help customers reduce project risk and accelerate energization. From concept through commissioning, we partner with customers every step of the way to deliver the critical infrastructure that powers what’s next.
Position Overview
You will manage PDM’s Digital Infrastructure vertical—data centers and telecom/tower infrastructure—selling transformers, switchgear, and critical power equipment to hyperscalers, colocation providers, tower operators, EPCs, and design/build firms.
This is a channel-ownership role, not order-taking. You will drive strategy, build the relationships, and close complex, long-cycle projects from early design through equipment delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Own and grow a book of business across targeted hyperscale, colocation, cloud, and tower/telecom infrastructure accounts.
- Sell PDM’s transformer portfolio as the anchor product line, alongside switchgear, breakers, and distribution gear.
- Build and manage relationships across the buying chain:
- Hyperscalers, colocation developers, and tower operators
- Electrical contractors, EPCs, and design/build firms
- Procurement, engineering, and construction management teams
- Interpret one-line diagrams and MEP drawings and perform accurate material takeoffs.
- Drive end-to-end sales from early design engagement through delivery and commissioning.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and supply chain as required to support customer requirements.
- Attend site walk-throughs, data center forums, and industry trade shows (7×24 Exchange, DCD, and similar).
- Maintain CRM discipline for pipeline tracking and forecasting.
What You Bring
- 5+ years of proven transformer sales experience into data centers — this is the core requirement for the role.
- Established relationships with hyperscalers, colocation providers, tower operators, or the EPCs and contractors serving them.
- Strong understanding of high, medium, and low-voltage distribution systems.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, long-cycle capital equipment sales.
- Familiarity with Uptime Institute requirements, hyperscaler specifications, and enterprise procurement paths.
- Ability to read electrical one-lines, takeoffs, and construction drawings.
- CRM fluency (Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, or HubSpot).
- Based in Texas, Virginia, Tennessee, or California, with willingness to travel up to 50%.
Why Join PDM?
- Competitive Base salary + uncapped commission structure
- Full benefits package (Health, Dental, Vision, 401(k) match, PTO, parental leave)
- Be a key player in high-growth sectors, like data infrastructure and energy transition
- Work within a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture with strong cross-functional support
Shape the go-to-market strategy in your vertical and make an industry-wide impact
