Position Overview

We’re hiring a Procurement Specialist to bridge the gap between PDM and supplier partners. You’ll support purchasing and vendor management activities with both domestic and international supplier partners.

This is a supplier-facing operations role where you’ll coordinate with domestic and international teammates to analyze supplier quotes and cost breakdowns, track cost trends, and identify cost reduction opportunities. Additionally, you will issue and manage purchase orders and manage supplier performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Obtain and evaluate quotations from partners and suppliers, coordinating with international teammates as required.

· Create, review, and issue purchase orders and supplier contracts, coordinating with international teammates as required.

· Track and analyze cost trends, and make proactive recommendations when risk arises.

· Identify cost reduction opportunities.

· Coordinate forecasting efforts between PDM Sales and supplier partners.

· Establish and maintain supplier scorecards using established supplier KPIs, track supplier quality, and initiate corrective actions where needed.

· Coordinate negotiation of and maintain supplier agreements.

· Travel to domestic and international supplier sites for coordination as needed.

 

What You Offer

· Procurement and supply chain experience in industrial/electrical equipment; prefer experience sourcing from China

· Strong negotiation skills

· Understanding of incoterms, freight, and tariffs

· MS Dynamics ERP and CRM

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to lead, take initiative, assess risk, problem solve and detail-oriented

· Willingness to travel (up to 10%)

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field; MBA is a plus

· Five plus years procurement experience

· Experience in industrial power equipment or related industry

· Experience working with international teams

· Ability to work independently and remotely
